So much for WarCraft III - too damn hard and it never was really fun. I gave it 9 months, so I figure if I still don't enjoy it after that, it's never going to be.
So, on to Command and Conquer Generals! Talk about a really fun game. This is the kind of game that I like, and what StarCraft was. Much better than WarCraft, although the graphics aren't as good.
I finished Warcraft III about 4 months ago now.. but it took me a damn while.. but yes.. it does get boring and shit, so i cant blame you man
I hope that you are playing Zero hour.. not just genereals.. Ive been playing that a fair bit recently.. maby we could have a Internet game sometime when im not playing Vietcong with my clan ({GSA})
I disagree - WC III has its pluses, although it has a lot of drawbacks.
You may consider downloading and playing(or even making your own) custom(fan-made) maps for WC3:TFT for gaming over Battle.net, LAN(via apps like Hamachi) or via Garena. There are much more fun than the melee strategic maps by Blizzard.
BTW, after finishing C&C:Generals, don't hesitate to look for mods - there are some great modifications that feature an expanded arsenal of vehicles and other cool features. Some good examples include Destructive Forces(mod) and ShockWave(mod). Their only drawbacks are that they can be a bit hard to properly install or uninstall, but there are a lot of guides on the Web and the multiplayer is really competative(requires all players to have it properly installed) and fun!
I hope that these suggestions can help you to achieve more fun from playing older games.
